Here’s hoping that you had a great Christmas period where you ate and drank your fill many many times over. Accrued a nice collection of Christmas Cracker hats and got some pretty cool presents.
I know I did. Thanks to Santa and my family and friends for being so kind to get me some really cool gifts. So I thought I would tell you about the books and CDs I got:
From my family I asked my brother Danny (cause he is really into his music) for his best three albums of the year on CD. So he got me Kodaline’s In a Perfect World, David Bowie’s The Next Day and Phionex’s Bankrupt!. I’d forgotten how much I love to devour the album packaging and try to figure out how the artist came up with the design. The packaging for The Next Day, was really excellent. I will post a review of the packaging next week.
Of course whilst I was out doing my shopping over the Christmas period, I found myself in one of my favourite bookshops . Chapters, a really excellent bookshop on the North side of Dublin city. So, for a present to myself, I bought Steven Heller and Mirko Ilic’s book “Icons of Graphic Design” and “Creative Lettering” by Marget Morgan.
Then with the Amazon vouchers I was given, I got myself some really nice books.
These haven’t arrived yet, but, I will post my thoughts on each of the books mentioned above in future blogs. Hope you enjoyed this post.
